Overview:

Faststone is an image viewer and converter with a few built-in photo editing features.  It is ‘freeware’ so it can be downloaded for free from the internet.  With Faststone you can view, handle and sort a wide range of photo formats from all of the major camera manufacturers, cell phones, iPads, Tablets and the internet.  It has a range of photo/image editing tools and supports sending images by email and creating sideshows.

You will need:

Basic keyboard and mouse skills.
It would be helpful if you brought to the learning session your portable device on which you have some of your photos.

Learning Objectives:

The learning session will cover how to:
   •  Download Faststone onto your device.
   •  Create a filing system for storing images.
   •  Open an image/photo in Faststone and save it under a different file name.
   •  Edit the image e.g. adjust the brightness, colour and contrast, rotate and flip, crop and resize, add text.
   •  Save the newly edited picture.
